What is Nexgen Bartending?
Nexgen bartending is an organization dedicated to the advancement of bartending and bartending skills worldwide. We love bartending and feel passionately about training the best bartenders around. The staff have all been (most still are) bartenders and we draw on our unique perspectives to offer up training that is dynamic and professional. Since we have no overhead costs (i.e. we don't pay rent, hydro etc), our prices are drastically cheaper. Traditional bartending schools offer their programs for approximately $200- $600. By enrolling in our program you are literally saving hundreds of dollars.

Where do I take your classes?
The Nexgen bartending training course is offered exclusively online. This means you can work fro the comfort of your own home. Work at your own pace, where you want, when you want. No more working around other peoples schedules. No more rushing to class. As a bartending student you simply work through the learning material, become familiar with the content and take the online exam when you are prepared.
How long is the test?
The bartending exam consists of 100 multiple choice questions ranging in scope from mixology, drink history, customer relations, tip maximization and other fundamental subjects relating to bartending. The test requires a minimum score of 70% or higher in order to be eligible for certification and takes approximately 1 hour to complete.
What is the total cost of the program?
The total cost of the Nexgen Bartender Training Program is $24.99. That's it. There are no hidden fees. This includes your online learning material, the cost of the online test and the cost of the shipment for your Nexgen bartender training card.

Are there any hidden costs?
No. Your one time tuition covers everything you need including all of your learning materials, examination fee and the shipping of your bartending certificate upon completion of the course.
How legitimate is an online bartending school?
Nexgen bartending school is just as legitimate as other bartending schools. With us, you still get the same information and testing procedures as you would at a "real world" bartending school. However you don't need to travel or work around someone else's schedule since you work towards your bartending certification from the comfort of your own home. Nexgen bartending school is a registered business just like real world bartending schools.
How much do bartenders make?
This is probably the most frequently asked question, and the answer to it can vary greatly. A good reference point is about $100 a shift. It is not uncommon in the industry for bartenders to bring home $300+ a shift. An average shift runs between 5-8 hours so a good bar shift works out to a pretty solid hourly wage! Even if you only worked 2 nights a week you could easily make over $700 when your hourly pay is factored into the equation. That's not bad considering many people have to slave 50 hours a week at some jobs to make that kind of money!
What are my chances of getting a job with your certification course?
To be completely honest, there is not a bartending school on the planet that can offer a 100% job placement guarantee. The harsh reality is that any job can be hard to find since there is a high demand for them. This being said, being a trained professional will drastically increase your chances of being hired. In the end, your employment success will have to do with how much work you put into finding a job, how often you look, but most of all... how determined you are.
It has been longer than 24 hours since I have written the test but I have yet to receive my score.
Sometimes when we receive your test scores either a) there was a problem sending it to our account or b) you punched in your wrong email address and therefore we couldn't reply to your email. More often than not, possibility B seems to be the case. In this instance, we still have your test scores but we just can't send it to you until we have your correct email address. Therefore all you need to do is send us an email using our bartending school contact page. We will then look through our database of email addresses until you find yours. You will then receive your score within 24 hours.
How long does it take to get my certification package in mail?
We mail out our certification packages out twice a month – the beginning and middle of each month. Once you have written the test it takes between 7 and 14 business days to receive your package in the mail. If you have not receive your package in the mail and it has been longer then 14 business days, contact us and we will make arrangements to send you another asap. Click here to contact us.
